The Piiri app has improved internal communications at AMADA Automation Europe (AAE) by consolidating all information sharing into a single channel and enabling communication in three languages. The metal industry company, employing around 200 people, can now reach its entire staff simultaneously through one channel.
Last year, AMADA Automation Europe (AAE) was looking for an internal communications solution that would allow it to reach all employees simultaneously through a single channel – and in three languages. The metal industry company employs around 200 people, and the working languages are Finnish, English and Swedish.
After comparing available options, the company chose the Finnish-made Piiri app as its new internal communications channel.
– From the very beginning, Piiri met a large share of the requirements we had for an information app, and it could be tailored to our needs. During the decision-making process and implementation, we received fast and personal support from the Piiri team. An added bonus was that the company is local, although that was not the decisive factor in our choice, says Stina Åvist, HR and Communications Coordinator at AAE, summarising the benefits of Piiri.
According to Åvist, the implementation of the app went excellently and entirely according to plan.
Equal communication for all employees is important
AAE is part of the global AMADA Group. AMADA is one of the world’s largest machine suppliers in the metal industry, and AAE in Pännäinen is the Group’s largest manufacturing unit for automation solutions in Europe.
According to Åvist, transparency and equal communication to all employees are extremely important in internal communications.

The most important and most used Piiri features for AAE are news, events and AI translations.

When implementing the Piiri app, the company’s needs are always reviewed in detail. If necessary, some of the app’s more than ten features can be disabled, and development needs can also be identified during discussions.
With AAE, a few key development items were agreed upon before the implementation, and smaller development ideas have been added to the ongoing development list. For example, AI translations do not yet work entirely without errors, but they are continuously improving.
Piiri has been in use at AAE for just over half a year, and Åvist warmly recommends it to others.
– I would recommend Piiri to all companies, big and small. The implementation of Piiri was very straightforward and went according to plan, for which we are very grateful. The app has worked as expected and is easy to use. The price also scales with the number of users.
